Two-thirds of the world's population, five billion people, are anticipated to reside in cities by 2030. Numerous issues have arisen as a result of rapid urbanization, such as an increase in the number of slum dwellers, air pollution, poor infrastructure and essential services, and unplanned urban sprawl, which increases the risk of disasters in cities. Creating green public areas, investing in public transportation, guaranteeing access to secure and affordable housing, and enhancing inclusive and participatory urban planning and administration are all necessary to make cities safe and sustainable.
The goal of this conference series, which began with the previous two conferences (International Conference on Urban Transition & Governance in collaboration with HCM RIPA and International Conference on Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Human Settlement in collaboration with the Council of Architecture Training and Research Centre, Bhopal), association with various government & private organisations like ITPI, Jaipur Smart City Limited, IGBC, IIA etc. is to focus on the well-being of people, communities, and society as a whole through the creative ideas of researchers, architects, and urban planners in the form of research papers.
